My computer freezes in GIMP?

I'm also running GIMP and every time i would run it, it would freeze. What i did was I uninstalled it then reinstall it then you should see how much stuff your running (you can see by hitting CTRL, ALT, DEL then click task manager and view prosseses and then end the ones you don't need. so see if that helps.
