Can I reverse an accidental save on GIMP?!?

I had worked really hard on this one picture, and I needed to do another one with the same dimensions, so I made a duplicate and whited it out. I accidentally hit the 'save' button while working on the duplicate version, and it saved over the original. I went back to the original's window to restore it, but GIMP crashed.......is there ANYTHING I can do to get that original picture back?!?!
